Boycott ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ – Disney Can’t Hide Its Complicity 🎬❌

Marvel thought they could slip this one past us. They were wrong.
The upcoming Captain America: Brave New World is already facing massive backlash ahead of its February 14 release. Why? Because it features Sabra, an Israeli superhero originally written as a Mossad agent, played by Shira Haas, an actor who volunteered for the Israeli army.
At the film’s Hollywood premiere, dozens of pro-Palestine protestors gathered with signs reading:
🚫 "Sabra has got to go"
🚫 "Disney supports genocide"
🚫 "Boycott Captain America"
And they weren’t alone. Thousands online are pushing for a full boycott of the film.
Why Are People Boycotting?
1️⃣ Sabra: A Superhero for Apartheid?
Sabra was first introduced in Marvel comics in the 1980s—as a Mossad agent.
- Mossad is Israel’s intelligence agency, notorious for its assassinations, kidnappings, and targeting of Palestinians worldwide.
- The name Sabra also carries painful memories—it’s linked to the 1982 Sabra and Shatila massacre, where Israeli-backed militias slaughtered up to 3,000 Palestinian and Lebanese civilians.
Even Marvel’s own comics framed Sabra’s role in a way that many found offensive. In The Incredible Hulk #256, she showed zero sympathy for a murdered Palestinian child—until Hulk explained that Palestinians were "people too."
Marvel claims they’ve “changed her character” for the film. But why include her at all? 🤨
2️⃣ Disney + Israel = $$$
Marvel’s parent company, Disney, has financial ties to Israeli organizations that support its military occupation and apartheid policies.
- This isn’t speculation—Disney is officially on the BDS "Pressure List" for its complicity in Israeli propaganda.
- The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement is calling for people to cancel Disney+ subscriptions and avoid the film completely.
3️⃣ Shira Haas: A Soldier, Not a Superhero
Shira Haas, who plays Sabra, chose to volunteer for the Israeli army—even though she was medically exempt.
- She has repeatedly expressed support for Israel’s military actions, including during Israel’s genocide in Gaza, which has killed over 48,000 Palestinians since October 7, 2023.
- Casting an IDF soldier as a “hero” while Israel commits war crimes? That’s not just tone-deaf—it’s deliberate propaganda.
Marvel’s Weak Damage Control
Facing growing backlash, Marvel made some desperate attempts to rewrite history:
📝 They now claim Sabra “isn’t Mossad” in the film.
📝 They say she “works for the U.S. government” instead.
📝 They even changed parts of her character to distance her from Israeli military ties.
But here’s the real question: If she’s not a Mossad agent, not a mutant, and barely resembles the original character—why even include her at all?
The Boycott is Working 🚀
Marvel and Disney underestimated the power of the people:
🔥 Protests erupted at the Hollywood premiere.
🔥 A viral online campaign is urging people to skip the movie.
🔥 Reddit threads promoting the boycott were mysteriously deleted—but activists are keeping the pressure on.
Disney can’t sweep this under the rug. The more people speak out, the more damage control they’ll have to do.
